What You'll Need

How to Make the T-Rex Mask โ€” Step by Step

Step 1: Download and Print

Head to craftandpause.com/printables.html and download the T-Rex mask template. Print it on any regular 8.5ร—11 paper โ€” color or black and white both work. No special paper needed.

Step 2: Color Your T-Rex

This is the most fun part! Let your child color the T-Rex however they like. Classic green? Sure! Purple with orange teeth? Absolutely. Rainbow? Yes! There's no wrong way to color a T-Rex. The bold outlines make it easy to stay in the lines, even for young kids.

Step 3: Cut Along the Dotted Line

The template has a clear dotted cut line running around the outside of the mask. Have your child cut along this line using safety scissors. The chunky simple shape is designed specifically to be easy enough for kids aged 4 and up to cut themselves. Younger children may need a little help.

Step 4: Make the Eye Holes

The template shows two circles where the eye holes should go. Ask a grown-up to help poke through these with a pencil or hole punch โ€” that's how your child will see when wearing the mask!

Step 5: Add the Elastic

Thread a piece of elastic through the small holes on each side of the mask and tie a knot at each end to hold it in place. The elastic goes around the back of your child's head to keep the mask on.

Step 6: ROAR! ๐Ÿฆ–

Put on the mask and let the dinosaur adventures begin!
